Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Small flat-head screwdriver, new CR2032 battery
  • Safety Warnings: Ensure you are working in a static-free environment and avoid exposing the key fob to moisture.
2. Open the Key Fob
  1. Locate the small slot on the edge of the key fob.
  2. Insert the flat-head screwdriver into the slot and gently twist to pry open the two halves of the key fob.
  3. Carefully separate the halves without damaging the plastic clips.
3. Remove the Old Battery
  1. Identify the battery compartment inside the key fob.
  2. Note the orientation of the battery (positive and negative sides).
  3. Use the screwdriver or your fingers to gently lift the old battery out of its compartment.
4. Install the New Battery
  1. Take the new CR2032 battery and insert it into the compartment, ensuring the orientation matches the previous battery (positive side facing up).
