1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Small flathead screwdriver, new battery (CR2032).
  • Safety Warnings: Ensure the vehicle is turned off and the key fob is not in the ignition.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Locate the small notch on the side of the key fob.
  • Insert the small flathead screwdriver into the notch and gently twist to pry open the two halves of the key fob.
  • Be careful not to damage the plastic casing.
3. Remove the Old Battery
  • Once the key fob is open, locate the battery compartment.
  • Note the battery orientation (positive and negative sides) before removing the old battery.
  • Gently lift the old battery out of the compartment, using the screwdriver if necessary.
4. Insert the New Battery
  • Take the new CR2032 battery and insert it into the compartment, ensuring the same orientation as the old battery (positive side facing up).
  • Press down gently to ensure the battery is seated properly.
5. Reassemble the Key Fob
