Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: OBD-II scanner, socket set, fuel pressure gauge, multimeter, throttle body cleaner.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is turned off.
2. Clean the Throttle Body
  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
  2. Remove the air intake duct connected to the throttle body using a socket set.
  3. Spray throttle body cleaner into the throttle body while opening the throttle plate manually.
  4. Wipe clean with a lint-free cloth to remove any carbon deposits.
  5. Reattach the air intake duct securely.
3. Inspect and Clean the MAF Sensor
  1. Locate the MAF sensor attached to the air intake system.
  2. Carefully disconnect the electrical connector from the MAF sensor.
  3. Remove the sensor using a socket set.
  4. Use MAF cleaner to spray the sensor elements and allow it to dry completely.
  5. Reinstall the MAF sensor and reconnect the electrical connector.
4. Check Fuel System
  1. Attach a fuel pressure gauge to the fuel rail.
  2. Turn the ignition to the "ON" position without starting the engine to check for proper fuel pressure.
  3. Compare the reading with the manufacturer's specifications (refer to service manual).
  4. If pressure is low, inspect the fuel pump, fuel filter, and related lines for blockages or failures.
5. Inspect Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor
  1. Locate the accelerator pedal assembly.
  2. Use a multimeter to test the voltage output of the pedal position sensor according to specifications.
  3. If the readings are outside of the specified range, replace the sensor.
