Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts needed for the repair.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shock.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface and the engine is cool.
2. Replace Cabin Air Filter
  1. Locate the cabin air filter access panel, usually found behind the glove box.
  2. Remove the glove box by releasing any retaining clips or screws.
  3. Take out the old cabin air filter and inspect it for dirt and debris.
  4. Install the new cabin air filter, ensuring it is oriented correctly.
  5. Reassemble the glove box and reconnect the negative battery terminal.
3. Inspect and Flush Heater Core
  1. Drain the coolant system using a suitable container and ensure the engine is cool.
  2. Locate the heater core hoses in the engine bay and disconnect them.
  3. Use a garden hose to flush the heater core with water until the water runs clear.
  4. Reconnect the heater core hoses securely.
  5. Refill the coolant system with the appropriate type of coolant, following the manufacturer’s specifications.
4. Replace Blend Door Actuator (if faulty)
  1. Remove any necessary interior panels to access the blend door actuator.
  2. Disconnect the wiring harness from the actuator.
  3. Remove the screws securing the actuator and carefully pull it out.
  4. Install the new blend door actuator in the correct position and secure it with screws.
  5. Reconnect the wiring harness and reassemble any interior panels removed.
