Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Jack and jack stands, socket set, torque wrench, pry bar, grease gun.
  • Ensure the vehicle is on a flat surface and the parking brake is engaged. Disconnect the battery for safety.
2. Lift the Vehicle
  • Jack up the vehicle and secure it with jack stands.
  • Remove the wheels to access the suspension components.
3. Inspect and Replace Components
  • Sway Bar Links and Bushings:

    • Use a socket set to remove the bolts securing the sway bar links.
    • Replace worn sway bar links and bushings with new OEM or quality aftermarket parts.
    • Torque the bolts to manufacturer specifications.
  • Control Arms and Bushings:

    • Inspect control arms for cracks or bending. If damaged, remove the control arm by unbolting it from the frame and the steering knuckle.
    • Replace any worn bushings or the entire control arm as necessary.
    • Reinstall the control arm and torque all bolts to specification.
  • Shock Absorbers:

    • Check for signs of leakage or damage on shock absorbers.
    • Remove the bolts securing each shock absorber and carefully pull them out of their mounts.
    • Install new shocks, ensuring they are properly aligned and secured.
    • Torque the bolts to the manufacturer's specifications.
4. Reassemble and Lower Vehicle
  • Reinstall the wheels and lower the vehicle off the jack stands.
  • Reconnect the battery.
