Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts needed for the repair.
  • Tools Required: OBD-II scanner, multimeter, socket set, torque wrench, wire connectors, and electrical tape.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface, and the engine is off.
2. Remove the Wheel
  • Loosen the lug nuts on the left front wheel using a socket set.
  • Jack up the vehicle and secure it with jack stands.
  • Remove the lug nuts completely and take off the wheel.
3. Replace the Wheel Speed Sensor
  • Locate the left front wheel speed sensor, typically mounted on the wheel hub or brake assembly.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector from the wheel speed sensor.
  • Remove the mounting bolt(s) securing the sensor using the socket set.
  • Pull out the old sensor from its housing.
  • Install the new wheel speed sensor by reversing the removal steps:
    • Insert the new sensor into its housing.
    • Secure it with the mounting bolt(s) and torque to the manufacturer’s specification.
    • Reconnect the electrical connector to the new sensor.
4. Reinstall the Wheel
  • Place the wheel back onto the hub and hand-tighten the lug nuts.
  • Lower the vehicle and torque the lug nuts to the specified value (typically 100-120 ft-lbs).
5. Clear the Codes
  • Reconnect the battery if disconnected.
  • Use the OBD-II scanner to clear the C0035 code and any other stored codes.
  • Start the vehicle and check if the check engine light remains off.
