1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Flathead screwdriver, socket set, gloves
  • Park the vehicle on a flat surface, turn off the ignition, and remove the keys.
  • Engage the parking brake for safety.
2. Access the Tail Light Assembly
  • Open the tailgate to gain access to the rear of the tail light assembly.
  • Locate the screws or bolts securing the tail light assembly to the vehicle. These are typically found on the side of the assembly.
  • Use a flathead screwdriver or socket set to remove the screws/bolts. Keep them in a safe place for reinstallation.
3. Remove the Tail Light Assembly
  • Gently pull the tail light assembly away from the vehicle body, being careful not to damage any clips or wiring.
  • Disconnect the wiring harness by pressing the release tab and pulling the connector apart.
4. Replace the Burnt-Out Bulb

  • Pull out the old bulb and dispose of it properly.
  • Insert the new bulb into the socket, ensuring it is securely seated.
  • Reinstall the bulb holder by twisting it clockwise back into the assembly.
5. Reassemble the Tail Light Assembly
  • Reconnect the wiring harness to the tail light assembly.
  • Align the assembly back into its original position on the vehicle.
  • Secure the assembly with the screws or bolts previously removed.
