Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather all necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the battery to ensure safety while working on the AC system.
2. Recharge Refrigerant
  • Tools Required: Manifold gauge set, refrigerant canister, hose.
  • Connect the low-pressure side of the manifold gauge to the low-pressure service port of the rear AC system.
  • Start the engine and turn the AC to maximum cool.
  • If the refrigerant level is low, add the appropriate refrigerant type (R-1234yf) until it reaches the recommended pressure.
  • Disconnect the manifold gauge and securely cap the service port.
3. Inspect and Replace Blower Motor (if necessary)
  • Tools Required: Socket set, screwdriver set.
  • Remove the rear AC access panel located under the rear seat.
  • Disconnect the wiring harness from the blower motor.
  • Remove the blower motor mounting screws and take out the blower motor.
  • Install the new blower motor by reversing the removal steps, ensuring proper alignment and securing with screws.
4. Clear Blockages in the Evaporator
  • Tools Required: Cleaning solution, soft brush, vacuum.
  • Remove the rear AC ducting to access the evaporator.
  • Use a soft brush to gently clean any debris or dust buildup on the evaporator fins.
  • If ice is present, allow it to thaw completely before reassembling the system.
5. Reassemble and Test
  • Reinstall all components and panels removed during the repair.
  • Reconnect the battery.
  • Turn on the rear AC and monitor for cold air output.
