Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts required for the repair.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to ensure safety.
  • Allow the engine to cool if it has been running recently.
2. Remove Engine Cover (if applicable)
  • Use a socket set to remove any bolts securing the engine cover.
  • Carefully lift and set aside the engine cover.
3. Disconnect Fuel Injector Connectors
  • Identify the fuel injectors on the intake manifold.
  • Carefully disconnect the electrical connectors for each fuel injector by pressing the release tab and pulling them off.
4. Remove Fuel Rail
  • Relieve fuel system pressure by using the fuel pressure release valve.
  • Use a socket set to remove the bolts securing the fuel rail to the intake manifold.
  • Gently pull the fuel rail away from the intake manifold, ensuring the injectors come out with it.
5. Replace Fuel Injectors
  • Remove the old fuel injectors from the fuel rail by pulling them out carefully.
  • Lubricate the O-rings of the new fuel injectors with clean engine oil.
  • Insert the new fuel injectors into the fuel rail until they are fully seated.
6. Reinstall Fuel Rail
  • Position the fuel rail back onto the intake manifold, ensuring the injectors align with their respective ports.
  • Secure the fuel rail with the bolts previously removed, tightening them to manufacturer specifications.
  • Reconnect the electrical connectors to each fuel injector.
7. Reattach Engine Cover (if applicable)
  • Place the engine cover back on and secure it with the bolts.
8. Reconnect Battery and Test
  • Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
  • Start the engine and check for leaks around the fuel injectors and listen for proper operation.
