1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Flathead screwdriver, new CR2032 battery, working key fob.
  • Ensure you are inside the vehicle with all doors closed, and the vehicle is in 'Park' mode.
2. Replace Key Fob Battery
  1. Open the key fob:
    • Use a flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob casing.
    • Be cautious not to damage the casing.
  2. Remove old battery:
    • Take out the old CR2032 battery from the compartment.
  3. Install new battery:
    • Insert the new CR2032 battery, ensuring the positive side (+) is facing up.
  4. Reassemble the key fob:
    • Snap the two halves of the key fob back together securely.
3. Reprogram Key Fob
  1. Enter vehicle:
    • Sit in the driver’s seat with the new battery installed in the key fob.
