Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Socket set, brake bleeder kit, brake fluid, torque wrench, jack and jack stands, safety glasses.
  • Ensure the vehicle is on a flat surface and engage the parking brake.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent electrical issues.
2. Brake Fluid Check and Top-up
  • Remove the cap from the brake fluid reservoir.
  • Check the fluid level; if low, top up with the manufacturer-recommended brake fluid (usually DOT 4).
  • Reinstall the cap securely.
3. Inspect and Repair Brake Lines
  • Visually inspect all brake lines for leaks or damage.
  • If leaks are found, replace the damaged section of the line using appropriate fittings.
  • Use a torque wrench to tighten connections to manufacturer specifications.
4. Bleeding the Brake System
  • Attach the brake bleeder kit to the brake caliper starting from the furthest wheel from the master cylinder (usually the rear passenger side).
  • Open the bleeder screw and have an assistant press the brake pedal several times.
  • Close the bleeder screw while the pedal is held down, then release the pedal.
  • Repeat until no air bubbles are visible in the fluid.
  • Move to the next wheel and repeat the process until all brakes have been bled.
5. Master Cylinder Inspection
  • If the problem persists, remove the master cylinder from the brake booster.
  • Inspect the cylinder bore for scoring or wear.
  • If damaged, replace the master cylinder with a new unit.
  • Reinstall and properly bleed the system again.
