Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Small flathead screwdriver, new battery (CR2032).
  • Ensure you have a clean, well-lit workspace to avoid losing parts.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Use the small flathead screwdriver to gently pry apart the key fob casing along the seam. Start at the notch and carefully work your way around.
  • Take care to not damage the plastic casing or internal components.
3. Remove Old Battery
  • Locate the old battery inside the key fob.
  • Note the orientation of the battery (positive and negative sides).
  • Use the screwdriver to gently lift the battery out of its compartment.
4. Install New Battery
  • Insert the new CR2032 battery into the compartment, ensuring the orientation matches the original (typically, the positive side should be facing up).
  • Press down gently until it is seated properly in the compartment.
5. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob casing.
  • Press them together firmly until you hear a click, indicating they are securely closed.
  • Inspect the key fob for any gaps that might suggest it is not fully closed.
