Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: flat-head screwdriver, small Phillips screwdriver, and a replacement battery (CR2032).
  • Ensure workspace is clean and free of static electricity.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Locate the small slot or notch on the side of the key fob.
  • Use a flat-head screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob at the notch, applying minimal force to avoid damage.
  • Carefully separate the two halves of the key fob.
3. Remove the Old Battery
  • Identify the battery holder in the key fob.
  • Note the orientation of the battery (positive side facing up) for correct installation of the new battery.
  • Using a small Phillips screwdriver, remove any screws holding the battery cover if applicable.
  • Carefully lift out the old battery with your fingers or a small tool.
4. Install the New Battery
  • Place the new CR2032 battery into the holder, ensuring the positive side is facing the correct direction as noted earlier.
  • Reattach any battery cover screws if applicable.
5. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob and press them together until they click into place.
  • Ensure there are no gaps between the two halves to protect internal components.
