Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface, and the engine is turned off.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shock.
2. Replace Headlight Bulbs (if necessary)
  • Remove the headlight assembly:
    1. Open the hood and locate the bolts securing the headlight assembly.
    2. Using a socket set, remove the bolts and gently pull the assembly out.
  • Replace the bulb:
    1. Twist the bulb socket counterclockwise to remove it from the assembly.
    2. Remove the old bulb and install the new bulb without touching the glass.
    3. Reinstall the bulb socket into the headlight assembly and twist clockwise to secure.
  • Reinstall the headlight assembly and secure with bolts.
3. Repair Wiring Harness (if issues found)
  • Inspect the wiring harness for any visible damage:
    1. If corrosion is present, use electrical cleaner to clean the connectors.
    2. Repair or replace any damaged wires using appropriate gauge wire and connectors.
  • Ensure all connections are tight and secure.
4. Test Alternator Output
  • Start the engine and use a multimeter to check the voltage at the battery:
    1. Ensure the reading is between 13.7 - 14.7 volts.
    2. If the voltage is outside this range, the alternator may need replacement.
5. Replace Headlight Relay (if found faulty)
  • Locate the headlight relay in the fuse box.
  • Remove the faulty relay and replace it with a new one of the same type.
  • Reconnect the battery and test the headlights.
