Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the battery to ensure safety.
  • Relieve fuel system pressure by removing the fuel pump relay and starting the engine until it stalls.
2. Remove Engine Cover
  • Remove any screws or bolts securing the engine cover using a socket set.
  • Lift the engine cover off and set it aside to access the fuel rail.
3. Remove Fuel Rail
  • Disconnect the fuel lines from the fuel rail using a wrench; be cautious of fuel spray.
  • Unplug the electrical connectors from each fuel injector.
  • Remove the bolts securing the fuel rail using a socket set and lift the fuel rail out with the injectors attached.
4. Replace Fuel Injectors
  • Remove the old fuel injectors from the fuel rail by pulling them straight out.
  • Lubricate the O-rings of the new fuel injectors with clean engine oil.
  • Insert the new fuel injectors into the fuel rail, ensuring they seat properly.
5. Reinstall Fuel Rail
  • Position the fuel rail back onto the intake manifold and secure it with bolts, tightening to the manufacturer's torque specifications (usually around 16-22 lb-ft).
  • Reconnect the fuel lines and electrical connectors to the injectors.
6. Reinstall Engine Cover
  • Place the engine cover back on and secure it with screws or bolts.
7. Reconnect Battery and Test
  • Reconnect the battery terminals.
  • Start the engine and check for leaks around the fuel rail and injectors.
