Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: Phillips screwdriver, flathead screwdriver, and a new cabin air filter.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface with the engine off.
2. Access the Cabin Air Filter
  • Open the glove compartment and remove any contents.
  • Use a flathead screwdriver to gently pry out the stop arm on the right side of the glove compartment, allowing it to drop down.
  • Remove the screws or clips securing the filter access cover, typically found behind the glove compartment.
3. Remove the Old Cabin Air Filter
  • Carefully pull the old cabin air filter straight out of its housing.
  • Inspect the filter for dirt and debris to confirm it needs replacement.
4. Install the New Cabin Air Filter
  • Take the new cabin air filter, ensuring it is oriented correctly (follow the airflow direction indicated on the filter).
  • Slide the new filter into the housing, ensuring it fits snugly.
5. Reassemble the Glove Compartment
  • Reattach the filter access cover using the screws or clips previously removed.
  • Lift the glove compartment back into position and reattach the stop arm.
