Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface and the engine is cool.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shock.
2. Clean Throttle Body
  • Remove the intake duct leading to the throttle body using a socket set.
  • Spray throttle body cleaner onto a clean cloth and wipe the inside of the throttle body to remove carbon buildup.
  • Open the throttle plate manually to clean behind it, ensuring all surfaces are free of debris.
  • Allow the throttle body to dry before reassembly.
3. Replace Air Filter
  • Locate the air filter housing and release the clips or screws.
  • Remove the old air filter and inspect the housing for dirt or debris.
  • Insert a new air filter, ensuring it is seated properly.
  • Reattach the housing cover securely.
4. Test and Replace Throttle Position Sensor (if necessary)
  • Disconnect the electrical connector from the TPS.
  • Use a multimeter to measure the resistance across the pins according to the manufacturer's specifications.
  • If the TPS is out of range, replace it with a new sensor and reconnect the wiring harness.
5. Inspect and Replace Fuel Filter (if necessary)
  • Locate the fuel filter along the fuel line.
  • Relieve fuel system pressure using the service manual procedure.
  • Disconnect the fuel lines from the filter and remove it.
  • Install a new fuel filter, ensuring proper orientation and secure connections.
