1. Preparation

• Gather tools and parts needed for the repair.
• Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface and the parking brake is engaged.
• Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery for safety.

2. Remove Wheel

• Tools Required: Jack, jack stands, lug wrench.
• Loosen the lug nuts slightly while the vehicle is still on the ground.
• Raise the vehicle using a jack and secure it with jack stands.
• Remove the lug nuts completely and take off the wheel to access the brake components.

3. Inspect Brake Components

• Visually inspect the brake pads for thickness; replace if they are below 3mm.
• Check the condition of the brake rotors; if they are warped or scored, they should be resurfaced or replaced.
• Inspect calipers and ensure they move freely; lubricate caliper slides if necessary.

4. Replace Brake Pads (if worn)

• Tools Required: Socket set, brake pad spreader or C-clamp.
• Remove the caliper mounting bolts using a socket set.
• Slide the caliper off the rotor and hang it using a bungee cord to prevent stress on the brake line.
• Remove the old brake pads from the caliper bracket.
• Install new brake pads into the bracket, ensuring proper alignment.
• Reinstall the caliper over the new pads and torque the caliper bolts to the manufacturer’s specifications.
