Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: small screwdriver, replacement battery (CR2032), and multimeter.
  • Ensure you are in a well-lit area and that the vehicle is off.
2. Open Key Fob
  • Use a small screwdriver to carefully pry open the key fob case at the seam.
  • Take care not to damage the plastic casing during this process.
3. Replace Battery
  • Remove the old battery from its compartment.
    • Note the orientation of the battery (positive side facing up).
  • Insert the new battery (CR2032) in the same orientation.
  • Ensure the battery is seated properly and the contacts are clean.
4. Reassemble Key Fob
  • Align both halves of the fob and press them together until they snap into place.
  • Check for any gaps to ensure it is fully closed.
5. Reprogram Key Fob (if necessary)
  • Sit in the driver’s seat and close all doors.
  • Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "On" position (do not start the engine).
  • Turn the key back to the "Off" position and remove it.
  • Press and hold the "Lock" button on the key fob for approximately 5 seconds.
  • Repeat the above step within 10 seconds for any additional fobs if necessary.
