Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Flathead screwdriver, Phillips screwdriver, or 10mm socket wrench.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is turned off. Allow the engine to cool if it has been running.
2. Remove the Air Filter Housing Cover
  • Use a flathead or Phillips screwdriver (or a 10mm socket) to remove the screws/bolts securing the air filter housing cover.
  • Carefully lift the cover off to expose the air filter.
3. Remove the Old Air Filter
  • Take note of the orientation of the air filter for proper installation of the new one.
  • Gently pull the old air filter out of the housing. If it is stuck, wiggle it slightly to release it.
4. Install the New Air Filter
  • Insert the new air filter into the housing, ensuring it fits snugly and matches the orientation of the old filter.
  • Press down to ensure it is seated properly.
5. Reattach the Air Filter Housing Cover
  • Align the cover back onto the housing and secure it with the screws/bolts removed earlier.
  • Ensure all fasteners are tightened to avoid any air leaks.
6. Final Check
  • Inspect the air filter housing for any gaps or improper seals.
  • Close the hood securely.
