Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Tools required: flathead screwdriver, small Phillips screwdriver, replacement battery (CR2032), multimeter (optional).
  • Ensure the vehicle is in a safe location and the ignition is off.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Using a flathead screwdriver, gently pry open the key fob casing at the designated seam, being careful not to damage the plastic.
  • If applicable, remove the small Phillips screw holding the fob together before prying it apart.
3. Replace the Battery
  • Remove the old battery from the key fob, noting the orientation of the positive and negative sides.
  • Insert the new CR2032 battery, ensuring it is positioned correctly according to the markings inside the fob.
4. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob and snap them back together securely.
  • If applicable, replace the Phillips screw to hold the fob together tightly.
5. Reprogram the Key Fob (if necessary)
  • Enter the vehicle and close all doors.
  • Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position (do not start the engine).
  • Turn the key back to "OFF" and remove it.
  • Repeat this process two more times, ending with the key in the "ON" position on the third cycle.
  • Press any button on the key fob within 10 seconds to complete the reprogramming.
