Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shock.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is cool.
2. Remove Fuel Tank
  • Tools Required: Socket set, jack and jack stands, fuel line disconnect tool.
  • Jack up the vehicle and secure with jack stands.
  • Drain the fuel from the tank if necessary (use a siphon or drain pump).
  • Remove the fuel tank straps using a socket set.
  • Carefully lower and remove the fuel tank from the vehicle.
3. Replace Fuel Level Sending Unit
  • Tools Required: Screwdriver, socket set.
  • Locate the fuel level sending unit on top of the fuel pump assembly.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector from the sending unit.
  • Remove the retaining screws/bolts and lift the sending unit out of the tank.
