Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts needed for repair.
  • Disconnect the battery to ensure safety while working on electrical components.
2. Replace Spark Plugs
  1. Remove the engine cover if applicable using a socket set.
  2. Disconnect electrical connectors from the ignition coils.
  3. Remove the ignition coils using the socket set.
  4. Remove old spark plugs using a spark plug socket and ratchet.
  5. Install new spark plugs, ensuring they are gapped correctly (usually 0.044 inches for Honda).
  6. Reinstall ignition coils and reconnect electrical connectors.
  7. Replace the engine cover.
3. Clean Throttle Body
  1. Locate the throttle body and disconnect the intake duct.
  2. Remove the throttle body from the intake manifold by unscrewing the mounting bolts.
  3. Use throttle body cleaner and a soft cloth to clean inside the throttle body.
  4. Reinstall the throttle body and reconnect the intake duct.
4. Replace Air Filter
  1. Release the clips on the air filter housing and remove the top cover.
  2. Take out the old air filter and inspect the housing for debris.
  3. Install a new air filter, ensuring it is seated properly.
  4. Reassemble the air filter housing cover.
5. Check Fuel Pressure
  1. Locate the fuel pressure test port on the fuel rail.
  2. Attach a fuel pressure gauge to the test port.
  3. Turn the ignition to the "ON" position without starting the engine to check the pressure.
  4. Compare the reading to the manufacturer specifications (typically 30-50 psi for Honda vehicles).
  5. If low, inspect the fuel pump and fuel filter for issues.
