Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Tools Required:
    • Wrench set (for battery terminal)
    • OBD-II scanner (optional, for monitoring after reset)
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked securely with the engine off.
2. Disconnect Battery
  • Use a wrench to loosen the nut on the negative battery terminal.
  • Carefully lift the terminal off the battery post and ensure it does not touch the battery.
3. Drain Residual Power
  • Wait for a minimum of 10 minutes to allow all systems to reset and drain any residual power.
4. Reconnect Battery
  • Place the negative terminal back onto the battery post.
  • Tighten the nut securely using the wrench to prevent any loose connections.
5. Ignition Cycle
  • Turn the ignition key to the ON position (do not start the engine).
  • Leave the key in this position for 10 seconds to allow the TCM to initialize.
6. Start the Engine
  • Start the vehicle and let it idle for a few minutes.
  • Observe any abnormal behavior during idling that may indicate further issues.
