Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the battery to ensure safety while working on electrical components.
2. Inspect and Replace Fuses
  • Locate the fuse box and identify the climate control fuse.
  • Remove the fuse and inspect it; replace if blown.
  • Reconnect the battery and test the climate control system.
3. Replace Cabin Air Filter
  • Open the glove compartment and remove any contents.
  • Detach the stops on either side of the glove compartment to lower it down.
  • Remove the cover of the cabin air filter compartment.
  • Take out the old filter and insert a new one, ensuring proper orientation.
  • Reassemble the glove compartment.
4. Replace or Repair Climate Control Module
  • Remove any trim panels surrounding the climate control unit using a trim removal tool.
  • Unscrew the climate control module from its mounting and disconnect the wiring harness.
  • If damaged, replace the module with a new one or repair any issues.
  • Reconnect the wiring harness and reinstall the module.
5. Blower Motor Testing/Replacement
  • Access the blower motor by removing the necessary panels under the dashboard.
  • Disconnect the blower motor connector and test using a multimeter for voltage.
  • If no voltage is detected, trace the wiring back to the climate control module.
  • If the blower motor is faulty, remove it by unscrewing the mounting bolts and installing a new one.
6. Recharge Refrigerant (if necessary)
  • Connect a refrigerant gauge set to the AC service ports.
  • Check the pressure readings and, if low, follow the proper procedure to recharge the AC system with the correct refrigerant type.
  • Test the AC operation after recharging.
