Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Jack, jack stands, lug wrench, socket set, torque wrench, strut spring compressor, and pry bar.
  • Park the vehicle on a flat surface, engage the parking brake, and disconnect the battery.
2. Raise the Vehicle
  • Use a jack to lift the front of the vehicle.
  • Securely place jack stands under the vehicle’s frame for safety.
  • Remove the front wheels using a lug wrench.
3. Remove the Strut Assembly
  • Locate the strut assembly and remove the lower mounting bolts using a socket set.
  • Disconnect the brake line and any sensors attached to the strut.
  • Remove the top strut mounting nuts located under the hood using the appropriate socket.
  • Carefully pull the strut assembly out of the wheel well.
4. Replace Strut
  • Use a strut spring compressor to safely compress the coil spring on the old strut.
  • Once compressed, remove the strut top nut and carefully release the spring.
  • Install the coil spring onto the new strut, securing it with the top nut. Ensure it is torqued to manufacturer specifications.
  • Reinstall the strut assembly into the vehicle, following the reverse order of removal.
