Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and materials:
    • Wrench set
    • Socket set
    • Transmission fluid pump
    • New transmission fluid (check owner's manual for specifications)
    • Drain pan
    • Funnel
  • Park the vehicle on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
  • Allow the engine to cool if it was recently running.
2. Drain Old Transmission Fluid
  • Place a drain pan under the transmission pan.
  • Remove the transmission pan bolts with a socket and wrench.
  • Carefully lower the pan to drain the old fluid into the pan.
  • Clean the pan magnet and remove any debris.
3. Replace Filter (if applicable)
  • Remove the old transmission filter if the model has one.
  • Install the new transmission filter, ensuring it is seated properly.
4. Reinstall Transmission Pan
  • Clean the mating surfaces of the transmission and pan.
  • Apply a new gasket or sealant if required.
  • Reinstall the transmission pan and tighten bolts to manufacturer’s torque specifications.
5. Fill with New Transmission Fluid
  • Using a funnel, fill the transmission with new fluid through the dipstick tube or designated fill port.
  • Start the engine and allow it to warm up while shifting through all gears.
6. Check Fluid Level
  • With the engine running and the transmission in park, check the fluid level using the dipstick.
  • Add fluid as necessary to reach the proper level.
