Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: OBD-II scanner, socket set, jack and jack stands, serpentine belt tool, multimeter.
  • Disconnect the battery before starting work on electrical components.
2. Inspect and Replace Serpentine Belt
  • Visual Inspection: Remove the engine cover if applicable. Inspect the serpentine belt for any signs of wear or damage.
  • Remove the Old Belt: Use a serpentine belt tool to relieve tension and remove the belt from the pulleys.
  • Install New Belt: Route the new serpentine belt according to the belt routing diagram located on the engine bay. Ensure it is seated properly on all pulleys.
3. Check and Replace Fluids
  • Transmission Fluid Check: Remove the transmission dipstick, wipe clean, and reinsert to check fluid level. If low, add the recommended transmission fluid (Honda ATF DW-1).
  • Power Steering Fluid: Check the reservoir level. If low, add Honda power steering fluid until the proper level is reached.
  • Differential Fluid: If applicable, check the differential fluid level and replace if it appears contaminated or low.
4. Inspect and Replace Wheel Bearings
  • Raise Vehicle: Use a jack to lift the front or rear of the vehicle, securing it with jack stands.
  • Check Wheel Bearings: Spin the wheel by hand and listen for noise. If noise is present or there is excessive play, remove the wheel and inspect the bearing.
  • Replace Wheel Bearing: If necessary, remove the hub assembly and press out the old bearing. Install the new bearing and reassemble.
