Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather required tools and ensure you are in a safe environment.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface.
2. Turn the Ignition On
  • Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position without starting the engine.
  • Alternatively, press the start button without pressing the brake pedal in push-to-start models.
3. Set the Trip Meter
  • Press the trip button repeatedly until the trip meter is displayed (not the odometer).
4. Reset the Maintenance Light
  • With the trip meter displayed, turn the ignition off.
  • While holding the trip button down, turn the ignition back to the "ON" position.
  • Continue holding the trip button until the maintenance light blinks and then goes out, which may take about 10 seconds.
5. Confirm Reset
  • Release the trip button and turn the ignition off again.
  • Turn the ignition back on and confirm that the maintenance light is no longer illuminated.
