Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts needed for the repair.
  • Disconnect the vehicle battery to prevent electrical shock.
  • Allow the engine to cool if it has been running.
2. Replace Headlight Bulbs
  • Tools Required: Socket set, gloves
  • Remove the headlight assembly by unscrewing the mounting bolts.
  • Disconnect the wiring harness from the back of the headlight assembly.
  • Remove the old bulb by twisting it counterclockwise and replace it with a new bulb of the same specification.
  • Reconnect the wiring harness and reassemble the headlight assembly, securing it with the mounting bolts.
3. Replace Headlight Fuses
  • Tools Required: Fuse puller or needle-nose pliers
  • Locate the fuse box (usually under the dashboard or in the engine compartment).
  • Identify the specific fuse for the headlights using the diagram on the fuse box cover.
  • Remove the faulty fuse and replace it with a new fuse of the same amperage.
4. Repair or Replace Wiring Harness
  • Tools Required: Wire cutters, splicing connectors, electrical tape
  • Inspect the wiring harness for damage and repair any frayed or broken wires using splice connectors.
  • If the harness is severely damaged, replace it with an OEM part.
  • Ensure all connections are secure and insulated with electrical tape.
5. Replace Headlight Relay
  • Tools Required: None (fuse puller may be needed)
  • Locate the headlight relay in the fuse box.
  • Remove the faulty relay by pulling it straight out.
  • Insert a new relay of the same type into the slot.
