Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts needed for the repair.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts.
  • Allow the fuel system to depressurize by removing the fuel pump relay and starting the engine until it stalls.
2. Remove Fuel Tank
  • Lift the vehicle using a jack and secure it with jack stands.
  • Drain the fuel from the tank using a siphon pump.
  • Remove any protective covers and disconnect the fuel lines using a line wrench.
  • Unbolt the fuel tank straps using a socket set and carefully lower the tank.
3. Inspect and Replace Fuel Sender Unit
  • Locate the fuel sender unit on top of the fuel tank.
