Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather all necessary tools and parts.
  • Tools Required:
    • Flathead screwdriver
    • Torx bit (if needed)
    • Replacement cabin air filter
  • Safety Warnings:
    • Ensure the vehicle is off and parked on a level surface.
2. Access the Cabin Air Filter
  • Open the glove compartment and locate the limiting tabs on either side.
  • Squeeze the tabs inward to allow the glove compartment to drop down completely.
  • If applicable, remove any screws or Torx bolts securing the cabin air filter access panel.
3. Remove the Old Cabin Air Filter
  • Carefully pull out the old cabin air filter from its housing.
  • Inspect the filter for dirt and debris; it should be visibly dirty if it requires replacement.
4. Install the New Cabin Air Filter
  • Take the new cabin air filter and ensure it is oriented in the correct direction (usually indicated by arrows on the filter).
  • Slide the new filter into the housing, ensuring a snug fit without forcing it.
5. Reassemble the Glove Compartment
  • Replace the cabin air filter access panel and secure it with screws or Torx bolts.
  • Lift the glove compartment back into place and ensure the tabs click back into position.
  • Reorganize any items stored in the glove compartment.
