1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: small screwdriver, battery replacement (CR2032), and a pair of safety gloves.
  • Ensure the vehicle is in a safe area, and all doors are closed.
2. Replace Key Fob Battery
  1. Open the Key Fob:

    • Use the small screwdriver to carefully pry open the key fob at the seam. Be cautious not to damage the plastic casing.
  2. Remove the Old Battery:

    • Take note of the orientation of the existing battery before removing it. Gently lift the battery out of its compartment.
  3. Insert the New Battery:

    • Place the new CR2032 battery into the compartment, ensuring it is oriented in the same direction as the old battery.
  4. Reassemble the Key Fob:

    • Align the two halves of the key fob and press them together until they click into place.
