Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: small flathead screwdriver, replacement CR2032 battery.
  • Ensure you are in a clean, dry workspace.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Use a small flathead screwdriver to carefully pry open the key fob casing at the seam.
  • Be gentle to avoid damaging the plastic clips.
3. Replace the Battery
  • Remove the old CR2032 battery from the key fob.
  • Insert the new CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
4. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob casing.
  • Press them together until you hear a click, ensuring all clips are secure.
5. Test the Key Fob
  • Stand close to the vehicle and test the lock/unlock buttons.
  • If the key fob does not respond, proceed to reprogramming.
6. Reprogram the Key Fob (if needed)
  • Insert the key into the ignition without starting the engine.
  • Turn the key to the "ON" position and back to "OFF" five times within 10 seconds.
