Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is off.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal for safety.
2. Clean the Throttle Body
  • Remove the air intake duct connected to the throttle body.
  • Use throttle body cleaner and a soft brush to clean the throttle plate and inside the throttle body.
  • Reassemble the air intake duct securely.
3. Replace the Idle Air Control Valve (if necessary)
  • Locate the IACV, typically near the throttle body.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the mounting bolts.
  • Replace with a new IACV and secure it with bolts. Reconnect the electrical connector.
4. Inspect and Replace Vacuum Hoses
  • Visually inspect all vacuum hoses for cracks or disconnections.
  • Replace any damaged hoses with new ones.
  • Ensure all connections are tight and secure.
5. Clean or Replace the MAF Sensor
  • Disconnect the MAF sensor wiring harness.
  • Remove the MAF sensor from its housing.
  • Clean the MAF sensor using MAF cleaner; do not touch the sensor elements.
  • Reinstall the MAF sensor or replace it if it is damaged.
