Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Flathead screwdriver, Torx screwdriver (if needed), clean cloth.
  • Park the vehicle in a safe location and turn off the ignition.
  • Open the hood and disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent any electrical issues.
2. Access the Cabin Air Filter
  • Locate the glove box inside the vehicle.
  • Remove the contents of the glove box for easier access.
  • Use a flathead screwdriver to gently release the stops on either side of the glove box to allow it to drop down.
  • If applicable, remove the Torx screws securing the glove box assembly.
3. Remove the Old Cabin Air Filter
  • Locate the cabin air filter cover, which is typically found behind the glove box.
  • Disconnect any clips or screws securing the filter cover and remove it.
  • Carefully slide out the old cabin air filter, noting the orientation of airflow indicated on the filter.
4. Install the New Cabin Air Filter
  • Take the new cabin air filter and insert it into the designated slot, ensuring the airflow direction matches the indicator.
  • Replace the cabin air filter cover and secure it with clips or screws as necessary.
  • Reposition the glove box back into its original position and secure it with screws if removed.
5. Finalize the Installation
  • Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
  • Ensure all tools and items are removed from the vehicle interior.
  • Close the glove box securely.
