Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: Clean lint-free cloth or paper towel.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is off.
  • Wait a few minutes after turning off the engine to allow oil to settle.
2. Locate and Check the Dipstick
  • Open the hood and secure it with the prop rod.
  • Locate the engine oil dipstick; it typically has a bright-colored handle (yellow or orange).
  • Pull the dipstick out carefully and wipe it clean with the cloth.
3. Measure the Oil Level
  • Reinsert the dipstick completely into the tube, ensuring it is seated correctly.
  • Pull the dipstick out again and check the oil level.
  • The dipstick will have two marks: the minimum (low) and maximum (full).
  • If the oil level is below the minimum mark, it's necessary to add oil.
4. Add Oil if Necessary
  • If oil needs to be added, locate the oil filler cap on the engine.
  • Remove the cap and use a funnel to pour in the appropriate type of oil (refer to owner's manual for specifications).
  • Add oil slowly and in small increments, checking the dipstick regularly until the oil level reaches the maximum mark.
5. Final Steps
  • Once the correct level is achieved, wipe any spilled oil from the engine surface.
  • Replace the oil filler cap securely and ensure the dipstick is reinserted properly.
  • Close the hood and ensure it is latched.
