Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: a socket wrench, a clean funnel, and a container to catch any spilled fluid.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface with the engine running and warmed up.
2. Remove the Check Plug
  • Using the socket wrench, remove the transmission fluid check plug located on the side of the transmission.
  • Allow any excess fluid to drain into the container.
3. Check Fluid Level
  • If fluid drips out of the check hole, the level is adequate.
  • If no fluid drips out, you will need to add transmission fluid.
4. Add Transmission Fluid (if necessary)
  • Using a clean funnel, add the correct type of transmission fluid (Honda ATF-Z1 or equivalent) into the fill hole until it starts to drip from the check hole.
  • Replace the check plug securely.
5. Clean Up
  • Wipe any spilled fluid and dispose of it properly.
  • Ensure all tools are removed from the engine bay.
