Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather the necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface and securely lift it using a jack and jack stands.
  • Disconnect the battery if working on electronic components.
2. Inspect and Replace Worn Suspension Components
  • Inspect Struts/Shocks:

    • Remove the wheel to access the strut assembly.
    • Check for oil leakage and physical damage.
    • If damaged, replace with new struts/shocks.
  • Replace Sway Bar Links:

    • Locate the sway bar link on both sides of the vehicle.
    • Use a wrench to remove the bolts securing the sway bar link.
    • Install new sway bar links and torque to manufacturer specifications.
3. Replace Control Arm Bushings (if necessary)
  • Remove Control Arm:

    • Remove the wheel and brake components if necessary to access the control arm.
    • Unbolt the control arm from the chassis and the wheel hub.
  • Replace Bushings:

    • Press out the old bushings using a bushing removal tool.
    • Press in the new bushings and reinstall the control arm, torquing to manufacturer specifications.
4. Reassemble and Lower the Vehicle
  • Reinstall the wheel and lower the vehicle back to the ground.
  • Reconnect the battery if it was disconnected.
