Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the engine is off and cool.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent any electrical issues while working.
2. Check and Refill Oil
  • Remove the dipstick and wipe it clean.
  • Reinsert the dipstick and remove it again to check the oil level.
  • If the oil level is low, add the appropriate type and grade of oil as specified in the owner's manual.
  • Run the engine for a few minutes, then check the oil level again and add more if necessary.
3. Replace Oil Filter
  • Place an oil catch pan under the oil filter.
  • Use an oil filter wrench to remove the old oil filter.
  • Lubricate the rubber gasket of the new oil filter with fresh oil.
  • Install the new oil filter by hand until snug, then tighten it an additional 3/4 turn.
4. Replace Oil
  • Drain old oil by removing the oil drain plug with a socket set.
  • Allow the oil to fully drain into the catch pan.
  • Replace the drain plug and torque it to the manufacturer's specifications (usually around 25-30 ft-lbs).
  • Refill the engine with fresh oil through the oil filler cap, using the recommended oil type and quantity.
5. Inspect and Replace Oil Pump (if necessary)
  • If low oil pressure persists, remove the oil pan by unbolting it.
  • Inspect the oil pump for wear or damage; replace if it is not functioning correctly.
  • Reassemble the oil pan with a new gasket and torque the bolts to the specified values.
