Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts required for the repair.
  • Park the vehicle on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
  • Disconnect the battery if electrical components will be handled.
2. Raise the Vehicle
  • Use a jack to lift the vehicle and secure it with jack stands.
  • Remove the wheel on the side where the noise is occurring.
3. Inspect and Replace Components
  • Struts/Shocks Replacement:

    1. Remove the top mounting bolts of the strut using a socket set.
    2. Detach the strut from the knuckle by removing the lower bolts.
    3. Install the new strut by reversing the removal steps, ensuring all bolts are torqued to manufacturer specifications.
  • Control Arm/Bushing Replacement:

    1. Remove the bolts securing the control arm to the frame and knuckle.
    2. Replace any worn bushings with new ones, ensuring they are properly seated.
    3. Reattach the control arm and torque bolts to specification.
  • Sway Bar Link Replacement:

    1. Remove the sway bar link from both the sway bar and control arm using a socket and wrench.
    2. Install new sway bar links and torque to manufacturer specifications.
4. Reassemble and Lower the Vehicle
  • Reinstall the wheel and lower the vehicle.
  • Reconnect the battery if it was disconnected.
