Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather all necessary tools and parts.
  • Safely park the vehicle on a level surface and turn off the engine.
  • Allow the engine to cool before starting.
2. Remove Old Fluid
  • Tools Required: Turkey baster or fluid siphon, catch container.
  • Using a turkey baster or fluid siphon, remove as much old power steering fluid as possible from the reservoir.
  • Dispose of the old fluid properly in accordance with local regulations.
3. Flush the System (Optional)
  • Tools Required: Garden hose, funnel.
  • If performing a full flush, disconnect the return hose from the power steering pump.
  • Place the end of the return hose in a catch container.
  • Pour new power steering fluid into the reservoir while someone else starts the engine for a few seconds to push out old fluid.
  • Turn off the engine and reconnect the return hose securely.
4. Refill with New Fluid
  • Tools Required: Funnel.
  • Pour new power steering fluid into the reservoir until it reaches the recommended level indicated on the dipstick.
  • Use the fluid specified in the owner’s manual (usually Honda power steering fluid or equivalent).
5. Bleed the System
  • Start the engine and let it idle.
  • Turn the steering wheel fully left and right multiple times to help remove air bubbles.
  • Check the fluid level again and add more if necessary.
6. Final Check
  • Inspect for leaks around hoses and connections.
  • Ensure the power steering fluid level is at the correct mark.
  • Test drive the vehicle to confirm normal steering performance.
