Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Flathead screwdriver, ratchet and socket (10mm).
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the ignition is off.
2. Remove the Glove Compartment
  • Open the glove compartment fully.
  • Locate the stop arm on either side of the glove compartment.
  • Gently press the sides of the glove compartment inward to disengage the stop arms, allowing the glove compartment to swing down.
  • Remove the screws or bolts (if applicable) securing the glove compartment to the dashboard using a ratchet and socket.
3. Access the Cabin Air Filter
  • Locate the cabin air filter access panel behind where the glove compartment was.
  • If applicable, remove the screws or clips securing the access panel with a flathead screwdriver.
  • Carefully remove the access panel to expose the cabin air filter.
4. Remove and Replace the Cabin Air Filter
  • Slide out the old cabin air filter, noting the orientation of the filter for correct installation of the new filter.
  • Discard the old filter.
  • Unbox and install the new cabin air filter in the same orientation as the old one, ensuring a snug fit.
5. Reassemble the Glove Compartment
  • Reattach the access panel, securing it with screws or clips.
  • Reinstall the glove compartment by reversing the removal steps.
  • Ensure the glove compartment opens and closes properly without obstruction.
6. Final Check
  • Close the glove compartment and verify that all contents are returned.
  • Start the vehicle and run the HVAC system to ensure proper airflow.
