Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: brake bleeder kit, wrench (typically 10mm), container for old brake fluid, and clean cloths.
  • Ensure the vehicle is on a level surface and securely lifted on jack stands.
  • Remove the wheel for easier access to the brake calipers (if necessary).
2. Locate and Open the Master Cylinder
  • Remove the cap from the master cylinder reservoir.
  • Ensure the reservoir is filled with fresh brake fluid to the "MAX" line.
3. Bleed the Brakes

A. Start with the Brake Furthest from the Master Cylinder

  1. Begin with the rear passenger side brake.
  2. Locate the bleeder screw on the brake caliper.
  3. Attach a clear hose to the bleeder screw, placing the other end in a container to catch fluid.
  4. Use a wrench to loosen the bleeder screw slightly (1/4 turn).
  5. Have an assistant press the brake pedal slowly to the floor and hold it down.
  6. Tighten the bleeder screw while the pedal is held down to prevent air from entering.
  7. Instruct the assistant to release the brake pedal.
  8. Check the fluid in the master cylinder and top off as necessary.
  9. Repeat this process until no air bubbles are visible in the fluid coming out of the hose.

B. Continue to the Next Brake

  1. Move to the rear driver side and repeat the bleeding process.
  2. Then move to the front passenger side and do the same.
  3. Finally, bleed the front driver side brake.
4. Final Steps
  • Once all brakes have been bled, check the brake fluid level in the master cylinder again and top off if needed.
  • Reinstall the master cylinder cap securely.
  • Reattach the wheels and lower the vehicle if lifted.
