Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: Phillips screwdriver, flathead screwdriver (optional), and a new cabin air filter.
  • Place protective covers or mats in the footwell to catch any debris.
2. Access Cabin Air Filter
  • Open the glove compartment and remove all contents.
  • Locate the two stops on the sides of the glove compartment and gently push them inward to release the glove compartment, allowing it to swing down fully.
3. Remove Old Cabin Air Filter
  • Locate the cabin air filter access cover behind the glove compartment.
  • Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws securing the access cover.
  • Carefully pull the cover off and set it aside.
  • Slide the old cabin air filter out of its housing, noting the orientation for the new filter installation.
4. Install New Cabin Air Filter
  • Take the new cabin air filter, ensuring it is oriented correctly (airflow direction indicated on the filter).
  • Slide the new filter into the housing until it is fully seated.
  • Reattach the access cover and secure it with screws.
5. Reassemble Glove Compartment
  • Lift the glove compartment back into place.
  • Reinsert the stops on both sides to secure it.
  • Place all contents back into the glove compartment.
