Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure you have a replacement battery for the key fob (typically CR2032).
  • Disconnect the vehicle battery to prevent any electrical issues during the process.
2. Replace Key Fob Battery
  1. Open the key fob using a small flathead screwdriver or a similar tool.
  2. Carefully pry apart the two halves of the fob without damaging the casing.
  3. Remove the old battery and note the orientation.
  4. Insert the new battery in the same orientation as the old one.
  5. Reassemble the key fob by snapping the two halves back together.
3. Reset Key Fob (if necessary)
  1. Get inside the vehicle and close all doors.
  2. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position (do not start the engine).
  3. Press and hold the "Unlock" button on the key fob for about 5 seconds.
  4. While holding the "Unlock" button, press the "Lock" button three times, then release both buttons.
  5. Turn the ignition off and remove the key.
4. Test Key Fob Functionality
  • Attempt to unlock the vehicle using the key fob to ensure it is functioning correctly.
