Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Clean lint-free cloth, funnel, transmission fluid (specific to Honda), gloves.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is warmed up.
2. Check Transmission Fluid Level
  1. Open Hood: Release the hood latch and securely prop the hood open.
  2. Locate Dipstick: Find the transmission dipstick, usually labeled with a brightly colored handle.
  3. Remove Dipstick: Pull the dipstick out of the tube.
  4. Clean Dipstick: Wipe the dipstick clean with a lint-free cloth to remove old fluid.
  5. Reinsert Dipstick: Fully insert the dipstick back into the tube.
  6. Check Fluid Level: Pull the dipstick out again and observe the fluid level against the markings on the dipstick.
    • Normal Level: Fluid should be between the "Full" and "Add" marks.
  7. Inspect Fluid Condition: Check the fluid’s color and smell. It should be clear red, not brown or burnt smelling.
  8. Add Fluid If Low: If the level is low, use a funnel to add the recommended transmission fluid slowly until the correct level is reached.
