Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Park the vehicle on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
  • Disconnect the battery to ensure safety while working on electrical components.
2. Clean the Throttle Body
  • Tools Required: Throttle body cleaner, screwdriver set, clean rags.
  • Remove the air intake duct to access the throttle body.
  • Spray throttle body cleaner into the throttle body and clean the interior surfaces with a clean rag.
  • Ensure the throttle plate moves freely and is not sticking. Reassemble the air intake duct.
3. Replace the Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor
  • Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench, wiring harness connectors.
  • Disconnect the connector from the accelerator pedal position sensor.
  • Remove the mounting screws and take out the old sensor.
  • Install the new sensor and secure it with screws. Torque to manufacturer specifications.
  • Reconnect the wiring harness.
4. Test the Mass Air Flow Sensor
  • Tools Required: Multimeter, MAF cleaner or replacement.
  • Disconnect the MAF sensor connector.
  • Inspect the MAF sensor for dirt or debris and clean it with MAF cleaner.
  • If cleaning does not resolve the issue, replace the MAF sensor by removing the mounting screws and installing a new one.
5. Check Fuel Pressure
  • Tools Required: Fuel pressure gauge.
  • Locate the fuel rail and connect the fuel pressure gauge.
  • Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position without starting the engine to check fuel pressure readings.
  • If the pressure is below specifications, further diagnose the fuel pump or fuel filter.
