Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: clean lint-free cloth or paper towel.
  • Ensure the vehicle is in park and on a level surface.
2. Check Fluid Level
  • Pull the transmission dipstick out of the tube.
  • Wipe the dipstick clean with a lint-free cloth to remove old fluid.
  • Insert the dipstick back into the tube completely and then pull it out again to check the level.
  • The fluid level should be between the "Full" and "Add" marks on the dipstick.
3. Inspect Fluid Condition
  • Examine the color and smell of the fluid.
  • If the fluid appears dark brown or smells burnt, a transmission fluid change is recommended.
4. Add Fluid (if necessary)
  • If the fluid level is low, use a funnel to add the appropriate Honda ATF (Automatic Transmission Fluid) to the dipstick tube.
  • Add fluid slowly, checking the level frequently to avoid overfilling.
