Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather all necessary tools and parts.
  • Park the vehicle on a flat surface and engage the parking brake.
  • Disconnect the battery to ensure safety while working on the suspension.
2. Raise the Vehicle
  • Use a floor jack to lift the front or rear of the vehicle, depending on which struts are being replaced.
  • Secure the vehicle with jack stands for safety.
3. Remove the Strut Assembly
  • Remove the wheel to access the strut.
  • Disconnect the brake line bracket from the strut if applicable.
  • Remove the bolts securing the strut to the steering knuckle or lower control arm.
  • Unscrew the strut mounting nuts from the top of the strut tower under the hood.
  • Carefully extract the strut assembly from the vehicle.
4. Install New Struts
  • Compare the new struts to ensure they match the old ones.
  • Install the new strut assembly into the strut tower, securing it with the mounting nuts.
  • Reattach the strut to the steering knuckle or lower control arm using the appropriate bolts.
  • Reattach the brake line bracket if it was removed.
5. Reassemble the Vehicle
  • Reinstall the wheel and tighten the lug nuts to the manufacturer’s specified torque.
  • Lower the vehicle from the jack stands.
  • Reconnect the battery.
